This lunch and learn will be led by Diana Giraldo, M.S. is the Founder and Chief Creative Officer of Community Development Reimagined, a minority, woman-owned consulting firm dedicated to sustainable development solutions, green building certifications, sustainability, and resiliency plans.
Many residents often live near or drive by affordable housing without realizing the housing is affordable.
This is due to the attractive building design and landscaping. This session focuses on the critical role of design in addressing NIMBY opposition, as well as project feasibility, addressing resident needs, energy efficiency and sustainable operations. Diana will share real examples of how design is utilized to address all of these issues and contribute to the successful development of housing that is affordable.
We will also get to hear the client perspective and how these strategies are being implemented locally.
