One of ULI’s guiding principles is that achievement of excellence in land use practice should be recognized and rewarded. Since 1979, ULI has honored outstanding development projects in both the private and public sectors with its Global Awards for Excellence, which today is widely recognized as the development community’s most prestigious awards program.Through the annual Vision Awards, ULI Southwest Florida recognizes the top leaders and best projects in our local region – those that exemplify ULI’s commitment to responsibility in land use and development. These honorees are the people and projects setting the standards for our industry, improving our communities, and guiding our future.
The Urban Land Institute Southwest Florida’s Corporate Legacy Award honors the top organizations in our region whose lifetime of work has significantly shaped our communities and changed our industry.
ULI’s Young Leader of the Year Award honors inspiring industry professionals aged 35 or younger whose outstanding achievements and contributions are advancing the industry and positively shaping our region’s communities. Ideal candidates are recognized leaders in their field who have championed best practices, made a difference in their communities, and show continued promise for the future.
Nominees must be real estate development industry professionals aged 35 or younger who live and work in Southwest Florida (Charlotte, Lee, Collier, Hendry or Glades) that exemplify contributions to the industry and to our community-at-large. Candidates must be ULI members.
Entries must include a completed 2024 Young Leader Nomination Form, plus a resume or bio, photo, and writeup or any other materials supporting why the candidate meets the award criteria and should be recognized as ULI Southwest Florida’s Young Leader of the Year.
The Project of the Year Award recognizes excellent development projects in the region that represent the highest standards of achievement and highlight innovation, transformation, and above all responsibility in land use and development.
All completed development and redevelopment project types, sizes, and sectors are eligible for consideration. Projects must be located within the Southwest Florida region (Charlotte, Lee, Collier, Hendry or Glades Counties) and must be open, operational, and financially stable.
Entries must include a completed 2024 Project Nomination Form, a brief write-up that highlights how the nominated project fits the award criteria, and at least one overall photo of the project plus a site plan. Additional photos, plans, and relevant press releases, project writeups, and news articles are highly recommended.

The Vision Awards recognize the projects and individuals throughout the region that best exemplify the mission of ULI, promote best practices in development, and demonstrate a proactive commitment to excellence, with a focus on leadership, responsibility, impact, and innovation.
