Lynn Thurber Named the New Chairman of ULI

WASHINGTON (July 1, 2013) – Lynn Thurber, chairman of LaSalle Investment Management in Chicago, has been named the new chairman of the Urban Land Institute (ULI), a global non-profit research and education institute dedicated to leadership in land use and creating thriving communities worldwide. Welcome Ann Seurer!

ULI Southwest Florida is pleased to welcome Ann Seurer as its new Associate.  Ann comes to us from Minnesota with a diverse professional and educational background. She has spent the last three years working as a Program Assistant for the Midwest Assistance Program, a nonprofit organization that assists low income, rural communities with their infrastructure issues. Ann has a BAS in Applied Engineering, with a focus on Environmental Science, and is currently working on her Master’s in Urban and Regional Planning. 2013 Gerald D. Hines Student Urban Design Competition Winners

A joint team of graduate students representing Kansas State University, the University of Missouri-Kansas City, and the University of Kansas earned the $50,000 top prize in the 2013 Gerald D. Hines Student Urban Design Competition.  The team edged out other finalists with its proposed development plan for a Minneapolis site near the Minnesota Vikings Stadium. Read more here.
