“Taking It to the Streets” – Communities Implementing Complete Street Programs and Building Healthy Communities
“Complete Streets” is a national initiative to design and operate transportation corridors in a way to accommodate pedestrians, bicyclists, transit, and cars, creating multi-modal transportation networks that provide the safest achievable access for all users. Since 2009, several SW Florida governments have adopted Complete Streets resolutions. How do cities fund and achieve complete streets? Hear first-hand from local public and private organizations on how they are planning, funding, and implementing Complete Streets and how these policies will impact future development.
